MADRC Community Advisory Board

The purpose of the MADRC Community Advisory Board (MCAB) is to guide and inform the Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (MADRC) Outreach, Recruitment and Engagement (ORE) Core about how to optimize equity in research participation so that everyone is able to experience the benefits of research innovations and receive equitable high-quality care.

Since 2013, as President and CEO I work to improve access to information and care planning tools so all adults can make a personal health care plan to get the best possible care today and over their lifetime. We support hundreds of Honoring Choices Community Partners who use our programs and tools to help adults make a plan and connect them to care in their community.

I direct the Alzheimer’s/Related Dementias Family Support Program at Jewish Family & Children’s Service in Waltham (JF&CS). JF&CS’ services include the JF&CS Memory Café and a support group for adults whose parent(s) live with dementia. We offer the JF&CS Memory Café Percolator, an international resource for those starting and sustaining memory cafés, and the Dementia Friends public awareness program for Massachusetts.
