Uniform Data Set (UDS) Online Training Videos

The following is an excerpt from the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC)'s Uniform Data Set Coding Guidebook for Initial Visit Packets (Version 2.0, February 2008).

The Uniform Data Set (UDS) was developed by the Alzheimer's Disease Centers (ADCs) Clinical Task Force and published by the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC) for use as a standard protocol for all federal ADCs beginning September 1, 2005. The data are intended to standardize clinical and cognitive data on all ADC participants with uniform clinical assessments and diagnoses, provide data to support current research initiatives, and stimulate and facilitate future collaborative research. It is not hypothesis-driven; rather, it is designed to foster hypothesis-generating studies and, where appropriate, to test specific research questions.
