Dr. Koenig completed his pre-medical studies at Columbia University, and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. He completed his general psychiatry residency at Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic in Pittsburgh in 2014, and served as a Chief Resident for Research during his final year of training. Dr. Koenig returned to the University of Pennsylvania in 2014 to complete a clinical fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry, and joined the staff of Massachusetts General Hospital in 2015 as an Assistant in Research. Dr. Koenig is working closely with Dr. Steven Arnold on designing and implementing early-stage clinical trials to investigate agents for the treatment of cognitive dysfunction due to Alzheimer's Disease (AD).
